Prairie View Mayor Nathan Alexander III, is the guest speaker for the Men’s Prayer Breakfast on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. The event will take place in the Parish Hall of St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church, located at 2000 Phillip Street, Prairie View, Texas. Mayor Alexander, a graduate of Prairie View A&M University and The University of Texas School of Law, has dedicated his career to civic engagement, voting rights advocacy, and youth empowerment. First elected to the Prairie View City Council at age 22 in 2020, he previously interned in the Texas Legislature and alongside the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation. On May 2, 2026, he was elected as the 13th Mayor of Prairie View, making history as the city's youngest mayor in the last 30 years.
In addition to his governmental service, Mayor Alexander has demonstrated a strong commitment to community leadership, serving on the Board of Directors of Camp Fire North Texas and supporting programs that empower youth and families.
Throughout his career, Mayor Alexander has remained dedicated to protecting voting rights, strengthening civic participation, and creating opportunities for the next generation of leaders. His leadership is guided by a belief that government works best when it is transparent, accessible, and responsive to the people it serves.
Alexander is a member of the Association for Young Elected Officials and the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
